Room rental application at résidences de l'Université Laval

  1. In order to rent a room at the Université Laval residences, you must be a full-time student at Université Laval at the time you occupy the premises.
  2. For students wishing to reside during the summer only, without continuing in the fall (departure no later than August 22), we invite you to submit your request via the following link: https://www.residences.ulaval.ca/en/short-term-accomodations.
  3. The lease for a room at the Université Laval residences is for an eight-month period, from September to April. Applications for the next academic year can generally be made starting at the end of February of each year.
  4. You can begin an application even if you have not yet received confirmation of academic admission. However, you must comply with the Terms and Conditions (PDF) in effect in the event of a refusal of admission.
  5. For information purposes, the majority of our rental offers are usually sent from mid-April for occupancy of a room beginning the following fall and from mid-November for occupancy beginning in winter.
  6. After completing the following form, you will be prompted to access your email inbox to validate the email address you used. A reference number will then appear on your screen. It is important to keep this number for future reference.

Information for room allocation purposes

Self-identification

Le Service des résidences offers non-smoking and equivalent rooms for rent in three mixed-gender buildings and one building with single-occupancy rooms with shared bathrooms intended for women. Visitors of any gender may access the buildings when accompanied by the resident hosting them.

The mixed-gender buildings consist of floors for men, floors for women, and mixed floors with gendered bathrooms. Some of the mixed floors include a men's bathroom, a women's bathroom, and a gender-neutral bathroom.

Due to limited capacity, we ask residents to provide self-identification to ensure appropriate allocation of rooms.

Please specify for which session(s) you intend to occupy the room. The lease term is 8 months, from September 1st to April 30th. It is possible to arrive earlier, during the summer, and to change the lease end date under certain conditions. Registration procedures

  1. At this stage, you do not need to provide a deposit. As soon as a rental offer is sent to you, you will be asked for an amount equivalent to your first month's rent. You must respond promptly, as failure to receive the completed offer (deposit included) within the required timeframe indicated on the offer will result in the cancellation of your rental application.
  2. Once the rental offer is accepted, you will be required to comply with the terms and conditions (PDF) in effect and to assume any associated fees. In the event of cancellation, your deposit is not fully refundable.
  3. You do not need to have your acceptance response to a study program at this time, but you must be registered as a full-time student at Université Laval from the beginning of the term for which you are booking and for the entire duration of your stay. In the event of refusal of admission, your deposit is not fully refundable.
  4. It is only upon your arrival at the residence that you will know your room number and its pavilion.
  5. The rates indicated are in effect from September to April.
